Sometimes I get really fueled up to create something, but don’t know what to make.
Usually it’s after I see something else that leaves me inspired. Like an episode of A Show by Ze Frank or something from a post by Tina Roth Eisenberg.
But I won’t know what to make yet. It feels like I’ve…
This is so true
Check out my mates blog for crafts and diy inspiration. It’s so cute, will make you want to start making stuff right this second!!!
Many people are thinking about the year ahead, making promises to themselves, hoping for change, wanting a better lifestyle and perhaps attaining to be a better version of themselves.
I personally find making ‘new years resolutions’ a waste of time, we often set ourselves, unrealistic, unattainable goals and two weeks in find ourselves rather disappointed and disillusioned.
Instead, I believe we should try to create good habits. It has been said that you can create a habit in 21 days. Continually doing something for 21 days should stick and therefore become lifestyle! So, try changing one thing at a time, maybe change one thing in your life each month, then perhaps at the end of 2013 you can look back with great accomplishment knowing you’ve really achieved something.
This way, changing something 100% rather than a half hearted flop is far more beneficial!
I would also like to encourage you with how you feel about yourself. You are one of a kind, no one else on the face of Earth is like you! So embrace it, own it and be confident in it.
We can often use our clothes as a way to hide, blend in or feel accepted, I want to encourage you to not hide behind the walls you create for yourself, the world will only respect you as much as you respect yourself.
Perhaps this year, you can choose to be a little braver with your style choices and reflect your individuality. You may wear a colour you never dared to before, it may be a chic neck scarf, a bowler hat, that pair of shoes you always say “I could never wear those!” No longer be the one who says “that outfit is only great on her” but be the person in that outfit!
Believe in yourself, educate yourself, have more fun, laugh more, read more… here’s to a new confident you!
So, we’ve all been talking about Chanel No.5 and Brad Pitt the last few weeks, but it looks like Dior are keeping up with their new ad campaign, yes Charlize Theron stars in it, but just as a voice over! Nonetheless, I happen to think it’s very beautiful; have a look for yourself….
Best thing about working at an iPad magazine… i dont have to worry about, crop, bleed or ridiculous printer deadlines!!! #magazine#design
Say hello to the new Creative Director of The Small Business Owner Magazine! Very exciting journey ahead!
I am very pleased to announce that I will be taking Creative Control at the fresh, digital magazine: The Small Business Owner Magazine (SBO Mag)
I’m so excited to be embracing this new adventure, I hope to stretch my creative wings and fly into new territory, (sorry that was a terribly cheesy line)
Also, such a brilliant team to work with, it’s so refreshing as a designer to work with a team who are willing to open their minds to my wild creative vision!
So, cheers, please raise your coffee cups with me: here’s to good design!
Oooh, I love this cover, in fact, my nails are painted that turquoise green. This cover is so fresh and gives that feeling of jumping into Spring!.
The cover outfit is unusual, it’s not a floaty couture gown, there isn’t a big blow out hair-do or even an oversized “it” accessory in sight; instead we see Nicole as she is; in a two piece that reminds me of Tina Turner in Mad Max! Yes it’s stunning, shinny and oh boy, do I want that blazer… But it almost feels like body armour, like she’s hiding behind it and she’s only allowing the fashion to speak for her…
I havent read the article I must add and I don’t condone judging a book by it’s cover, but they say first impressions count hey…

Stunning and Sparkly!
At Dolce & Gabbana we see opulent materials, rich black velvet with luxurious metallic trim. Gorgeous lace, lady-like corsets, heavy embroidery and over-the-top chandelier jewellery. There were fur capes and even a black veil… and some rather bridal, white lace.
Shimmering down the runway in black and gold like dignitaries of the world.
This is the collection to make you feel like royalty.
